Along the way, I got to know a fair bit about wine. My only advice is to drink a variety of wine and to not believe anything anyone tells you. Trust only your tastebuds. If you can, get to some wine festivals where you can taste the same variety side-by-side so you can get an idea of what is good and what is not. AND HAVE FUN. Don't let anyone intimidate you with their "fresh linens in the nose..."
