It was actually the first time I had even considered that someone would be that cruel and malicious. It is scary and sickening and all my thoughts and good wishes are with Kathy and her family. But, it also reminds me how important it is to continue writing, to engage in the appropriate exercise of the freedom of speech. Because people with stories to tell cannot be forced in to silence because of what some nutjob thinks. Creativity can not function in a society that is dominated by fear. That being said, if it were me you can be damn sure I'd be in hiding. I guess I am just out of it enough that your post was the first time I had heard of this issue.
